Simon Davies has been with the ACT since 2004, first as office manager, and most recently as office assistance (part time) as he took on further studies during the past few years. He was recently interviewed by the ACT's Academic Administrator, Anne Bates:
Anne: Simon, what course have you been studying and with whom?
Simon: I’ve just finished my final year of a Bachelor of Creative Technology majoring in Audio Engineering and Sound Production, through JMC Academy in Sydney.
Anne: I understand that JMC recently had an awards ceremony. Did anything special happen there?
Simon: Yes, I was awarded “Most outstanding student in audio engineering for 2008”
Anne: that’s fantastic, congratulations. What was the award?
Simon: I received a trophy, certificate and a pro tools personal studio.
This is a great honour for Simon, one that is undoubtedly richly deserved. The ACT office offers their warmest congratulations to Simon for such a great outcome, achieved while giving much of his time to the ACT as well as undertaking this study. We wish him the very best for his future work

Leading Pauline scholar and author of Romans: A Commentary, Hermeneia (Philadelphia: Fortress, 2007), Prof. Robert Jewett, of the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Germany, gave a research seminar at the ACT on Thursday 12 June on the topic "Beyond the New Perspective". Professor Jewett spoke extensively on the purpose and theological thrust of Romans.
There were New Testament lecturers from affiliated ACT colleges and Avondale College, members of the public, ACT doctoral candidates and supervisors.
This seminar is now available for download here as an MP3 (27MB). It is a good opportunity to catch up on what has been happening in recent years in Pauline studies and the interpretation of Romans in particular.
